Calvary Christian Academy

Academics

Calvary Christian Academy is committed to providing a Christian atmosphere of excellence for the academic training of our students. We offer a traditional approach to classroom learning where the teacher directs his/her students by encouraging them to excel and to apply Colossians 3:23.

Our training program begins with kindergarten. Parents may select a half-day or a full-day program based on the developmental level/need of their child. Our kindergarten curriculum includes Bible memorization and fundamental math and reading instruction. Additionally, we include instruction in science and social studies and enhanced art and social-interaction time for the full-day student.

Our elementary program (grades 1-6) continues to build upon this foundation. Using a curriculum that focuses on a phonetic approach to reading, the language arts also include a coordinated approach to writing, spelling and English grammar. Math, science, heritage studies and Bible round out the subjects covered in each of the elementary grades.

Our secondary program (grades 7-12) reflects a college-preparatory curriculum and builds upon the foundation taught on the elementary level. In addition to our core curriculum, students may select additional, higher level courses in foreign language, math and science, depending on their grade level status. Our senior level students also have the option of dual-enrolling in a nearby college/university depending upon their credits earned status.

CCA requires students to complete a minimum of 23 credits to graduate. Visit CCA's graduation requirements page for more information.

Our high school (grades 9-12) class offerings include the following:
